Surigao Sur Honors Batang Pinoy 2025 Champions!

IN PHOTO | Surigao del Sur Governor Johnny T. Pimentel awarded the total amount of P995,000 as cash incentives to 19 student-athletes during the Monday Program on November 10, 2025 at the Provincial Capitol Lobby, Tandag City.

Gold: P50,000
Silver: P30,000
Bronze: P10,000

The athletes brought home 16 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals in Wrestling and Pencak Silat at the Batang Pinoy 2025 National Championships in General Santos City, helping Surigao del Sur rank 15th among 159 LGUs nationwide.

Gov. Pimentel lauded the young athletes for their hard work and vowed continued support for youth sports and development across the province. (NGPB, PIA Surigao del Sur)
