LGU Extends Aid to Victims of Recent Fire in Tandag City

IN PHOTOS | The local government of Tandag City, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur and the Office of the First Congressional District of Surigao del Sur, provided financial assistance to six families affected by the January 12, 2025 fire. Each family received P10,000 from the congressional office, while the provincial government granted P10,000 to those with totally damaged homes and P7,000 to those with partial damage. The city government of Tandag also extended additional aid, giving P30,000 to totally affected families and P10,000 to those partially affected.

During the distribution ceremony on February 5, 2025 at Purok Moonglow covered court in Barangay Bag-ong Lungsod, Tandag City local officials assured the victims of their continued support in helping them rebuild their homes and recover from the disaster. The assistance served as a crucial step in easing the burden on affected families and restoring their livelihoods. (PIA-Surigao del Sur)
