PIA-13 Receives NTF-ELCAC Award

IN PHOTOS | Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Deputy Director-General for Regional Operations Adolfo Ares P. Gutierrez handed over the plaque of recognition to PIA Caraga team headed by Venus L. Garcia as a national awardee of the NTF-ELCAC’s Gawad Parangal Award.

DDG Gutierrez initially received the plaque of recognition from Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo, National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, and NTF-ELCAC National Secretariat Executive Director Ernesto Torres on December 6 at Tejeros Hall, AFPCOC, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The Gawad Parangal Award, with this year’s theme, “Building Peace Better: Marking Six Years of Dedicated Action Towards Unity, Development and Lasting Peace,” recognized the dedication and remarkable efforts of those involved in the pursuit of peace, development, and the eradication of armed conflict.

PIA Caraga as forefront of the Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) Cluster of the Regional Task Force To End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) has consistently sustained its development communication efforts through the production and dissemination of accurate, timely and relevant information of the programs of the government under Executive Order No. 70 across its different platforms, collaboration with other clusters, and the engagement of the information officers, government communicators and media practitioners.
