NFA Tandag prepares rice supply measures amid El Niño

IN PHOTO | The National Food Authority (NFA) Tandag is preparing measures to ensure sufficient rice supply and help stabilize prices amid the possible effects of El Niño.

 

NFA Tandag Manager May Sara Sabarre said the agency is maintaining adequate rice buffer stocks, including supplies for the Bigas Program. It is also monitoring farmers and rice prices and coordinating with other agencies to prevent shortages.

 

Sabarre added that NFA is also assessing rice supply and demand, and developing measures to ensure the continuous availability of rice in the market. (NGPB, PIA Surigao del Sur)

CORDS X and PCOO secretary Martin Andanar assured the affected residents involved in the CPP-NPA's burning of houses and a chapel in Opol, Misamis Orientel that help will be provided to them.
