She encouraged the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle, undergo regular cancer screening, and seek timely medical consultation, stressing that treatment should begin before symptoms become severe.


Santos also highlighted that Caraga recorded the highest cancer screening coverage rate in the country from 2024 to 2025 following the nationwide rollout of the cancer screening program, attributing the achievement to the strong collaboration among partner agencies, local government units, media, and other stakeholders supporting cancer prevention initiatives across communities. CORDS X and PCOO secretary Martin Andanar assured the affected residents involved in the CPP-NPA's burning of houses and a chapel in Opol, Misamis Orientel that help will be provided to them. "As the designated Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security for Northern Mindanao (CORDS X), we will help coordinate with the local government and the concerned government agencies to ensure that those affected are given the assistance that they need.
