Kapihan sa PIA tackles on FIMI and WPS

IN PHOTOS | During the Kapihan sa PIA on February 11, 2026, National Intelligence Coordination Agency (NICA) Caraga Director Bonifacio R. Pulgo tackled on Foreign Interference and Malign Influence (FIMI) as an emerging threat that the country is currently facing, especially from the People’s Republic of China.

Dir. Pulgo said, “To address this threat to national security, it calls for a shared responsibility through DEFEND (Deterrence, Education, Fortify, Expose, Networking, and Defense) that is piloted in the province of Agusan del Sur.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Regie H. Go, executive officer of the 4th Civil-Military Operations (CMO) 'Kasaligan' Battalion of the Philippine Army, shared that they are mandated to conduct education and awareness campaign to grassroots communities and vulnerable sectors about the West Philippine Sea (WPS), which is part the territorial interest of FIMI. 

“By educating all Filipinos on accurate and relevant information on WPS, we are strengthening our sovereign rights on WPS and the territorial integrity of the country,” LtCol. Go said. (RLE, PIA Dinagat Islands)
