Senate agriculture chair visits Agusan Sur's soil research laboratory
IN PHOTO | Following his keynote address at the Stakeholders’ Forum and World Soil Day celebration on December 5, 2025 at the Datu Lipus Makapandong covered court in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, toured Agusan del Sur’s state-of-the-art soil research laboratory.
In a press briefing, Pangilinan commended the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur, under the leadership of Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr., along with 2nd District Congressional Representative Adolph Edward G. Plaza, for their initiatives to strengthen the province’s agricultural sector. He lauded the establishment of the laboratory and the training provided to Agsurnon farmers on soil testing, which enables them to optimize crop yields. (NJGD, PIA Caraga)
