Vibrant Agricultural Showcase

IN PHOTOS | Visitors are invited to experience the vibrant agricultural showcase of Agusan del Sur, featuring exhibits from its 13 municipalities and lone component city.

Each local government unit has prepared a uniquely themed booth, proudly displaying their signature crops, processed agricultural products, indigenous farming techniques, and innovations in sustainable agriculture. 

These exhibits highlight the commitment and hard work of the province’s farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, and cooperatives.

The event serves as a platform to celebrate Agusan del Sur’s rich agricultural heritage, promote local agri-tourism, and encourage collaboration among stakeholders in the farming sector. 

It also aims to strengthen the province’s agricultural economy by giving exposure to local products and practices worthy of regional and national recognition.

Through this collective effort, Agusan del Sur showcases not only its natural abundance, but also the resilience and ingenuity of its farming communities. (KKG, PIA Agusan del Sur)

IN PHOTO |  Erma Ranuco Suyo (standing), provincial government department head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Agusan del Norte was named as one of the 2024 Women and Youth Champions of Resilience at the prestigious Philippine Resilience Awards (PRA). With her are Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante and Deputy Director-General for Regional Operations Adolfo Ares P. Gutierrez of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). PRA award honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to climate action, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience. Suyo’s leadership and innovative work have had a profound impact on Agusan del Norte, transforming the province into a model of disaster preparedness and climate resilience.
