IN PHOTO | Tourism Officer Dannah Buquir shared that this year’s Naliyagan Festival is being held on a more modest scale due to the province’s ongoing preparations for a major upcoming event — the Palarong Pambansa 2026, which Agusan del Sur will proudly host.

Despite the scaled-down festivities, Buquir assured the public that the spirit of Naliyagan remains alive, and that the provincial government is committed to delivering a vibrant and grander celebration in 2026, once the province has fulfilled its hosting responsibilities.

"While we are focusing our resources and energy on preparing for Palarong Pambansa 2026, Agusanons can look forward to a more exciting and full-scale Naliyagan Festival next year," Buquir said. (KKG, PIA Agusan del Sur)
