Dir. Dolendo revealed their ongoing efforts in identifying and profiling the local artists to be part of the provincial Creatives Industry, in alignment with the implementation of Republic Act 11904, otherwise known as the "Philippine Creative Industries Development Act (PCIDA)," a landmark legislation that mandates the formulation of a long-term plan for the promotion and growth of the country’s creative industries.

“We actively promote this law, especially during activities organized by the local government units (LGUs),” he said.

He also cited the recent initiative of LGU-Bayugan City as an exemplary case. 

“The DTI provided the funding, while the LGU of Bayugan City served as the implementing body. We deeply appreciate the efforts of Mayor Kirk Asis, which allowed many of our local visual artists, painters, musicians, singers, and other creatives to actively participate in the event,” Dolendo added.

He further emphasized that one of the key objectives of the PCIDA is to harmonize its advocacy with that of the Local Culture and Arts Council, fostering a unified vision for cultural and creative development.

Dolendo also shared another thrilling initiative: Caraga Goes to Manila 3.0, an event designed to bring the province as part of the region's vibrant culture and unique products to the nation’s capital. 

This initiative seeks to attract investment opportunities for local and tribal products, while showcasing the richness of Caraga’s cultural heritage.

“We assure the public that Agusan del Sur’s local artists and products have much to offer— not only across the nation but to the global market as well,” Dolendo said. (KKG, PIA-Agusan del Sur)
