Gov. Pimentel supports former rebels with financial assistance

Surigao del Sur Governor Alexander T. Pimentel, chairperson of the Caraga Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC), leads the distribution of assistance to 91 former rebels during the ceremonial presentation in Tandag City on October 30, 2024.

The former rebels also surrendered their long firearms to the units of the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police in Surigao del Sur. Each former rebel received food and hygiene packs and jerry cans, with impending cash assistance of P5,000 from the provincial government. (NGPB/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
