Senior Statistical Specialist Vic F. Notarion of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

IN PHOTOS | During a courtesy visit by personnel from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) - Agusan del Sur Government Information Center, Senior Statistical Specialist Vic F. Notarion of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Agusan del Sur shared updates on several key programs and services of their office, including the lined-up activities for this year's 35th National Statistics Month celebration.

Notarion further explained that the data collected through the CBMS will be used for planning purposes by the local government units (LGUs). The database will be turned over to the LGUs, allowing them access for future planning needs.

Also, the PSA-Agusan del Sur is now prioritizing the registration of children aged 0-4 years for the Philippine National ID System (PhilSys) through mobile registration conducted by their staff. The only requirement is the consent of the parents.

Additionally, Notarion mentioned that by the first quarter of 2025, they target and expect to be able to issue PSA birth certificates at the Agusan del Sur office. This will make it more convenient for nearby municipalities and provinces, as anyone needing an original birth certificate will be able to access it through their designated area. (Kelvin Kennt R.
