Daguil, president of Caraga State University (CSU) in Butuan City, shared the genesis and milestone of MapX, a complete real property mapping and assessment solution that uses advanced geo-informatics technologies, during an interview with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga Assistant Regional Head Renelle L. Escuadro on September 24, 2024.

“MapX is a product of innovation and extensive research in spatial mapping, visualization, and interactivity for high-end mapping services. It offers an efficient process of administering real property tax mapping by harnessing the power of modern technologies,” Dr. Daguil said.

“The local government units (LGUs) of Butuan City and Mainit in Surigao del Norte are among the primary LGUs in that country that availed of the services of MapX,” he added. (Renelle L. Escuadro, PIA-Caraga)
