IN PHOTO | Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Agusan del Sur Provincial Officer Jenalyn U. Tan, shared updates on their office' mandate and their advocacy campaign against illegal drugs in the different schools and barangays, during the recent courtesy visit of the personnel from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Agusan del Sur Information Center.

It was also learned that they are employing a holistic approach to address the issue of illegal drug users and pushers in the province. Their focus is on barangay drug clearing, with the support of the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) and the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC).

She further highlighted that PDEA is gradually addressing supply reduction by monitoring the situations at the airports, seaports, and other potential entry points for illegal drugs into the country. They also conduct symposiums/symposia in schools and other public establishments that might be targeted by drug pushers and users. (Kelvin Kennt R. Generalo/[PIA-Agusan del Sur)
