Courtesy visit and coordination by the personnel from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Agusan del Sur Information Center

IN PHOTO | In a courtesy visit and coordination by the personnel from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Agusan del Sur Information Center to National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, NCIP officer-in-charge (OIC) Raynildo B. Baintin expressed his commitment to support the PIA in its information dissemination efforts.

Baintin emphasized that the Agsurnons should be fully aware of the NCIP's significant programs and services, and should be well-aware of their mandates, as well as prevent the spread of fake news about their agency.

He also warned the general public against unregistered IP groups/organizations that continue to claim to be legitimate yet only to exploit the benefits intended for the indigenous communities, creating fraudulent activities. (Kelvin Kennt R. Generalo/[PIA-Agusan del Sur)
