IN PHOTO | Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga Assistant Regional Director Donald A. Seronay stressed that peace and order is vital in every local government unit's progress, during the 1st Peace and Order Council Summit cum 2024 AgSOAR Awards on Oct. 4, 2024 at the covered court, D.O. Plaza Government Center, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

"Peace and development are intrinsically linked, forming the foundation of resilient communities. Good governance is the key to unlocking this potential by ensuring that leaders act with integrity, transparency, and accountability," he stated.

"By practicing good governance, we do not only earn the trust of our constituents but also create an environment where peace, order, and prosperity can flourish," added Seronay.

He further emphasized the DILG's recognition of Agusan del Sur's efforts in implementing various programs, including the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP). He highlighted that since 2018, through the E-CLIP, Agusan del Sur has awarded P17 million to 773 former rebels or friends rescued. (Kelvin Kennt R. Generalo, PIA-Agusan del Sur)

  To equip the enlisted privates of the 4th Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Battalion (4CMOBn), Philippine Army with the right knowledge and skills in basic journalism, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga, facilitated the conduct of training on basic news writing and photo journalism to some 30 participants at the 4CMOBn Conference Room in Brgy. Bancasi, Butuan City.  As the resource speaker on basic news writing, Jennifer Gaitano, Information Officer III of PIA Caraga, discussed the important elements to consider when writing a news story.
