IN PHOTOS | During the Kapihan sa PIA on September 24, 2026, a timely and significant discussion on Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE) was tackled by Regional Chief Lemuel B. Gonda of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Caraga-Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit.

In light of recent incidents of campus violence in the country that have been linked to NVE, this episode of the Kapihan aimed to raise awareness and deepen understanding of this emerging threat and its potential impact on learners, families, schools, and communities. (RLE, PIA Dinagat Islands)

CORDS X and PCOO secretary Martin Andanar assured the affected residents involved in the CPP-NPA's burning of houses and a chapel in Opol, Misamis Orientel that help will be provided to them. "As the designated Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security for Northern Mindanao (CORDS X), we will help coordinate with the local government and the concerned government agencies to ensure that those affected are given the assistance that they need. Atty. Zeldania Soriano, who heads the Community Legal Help Project, serves as the guest speaker of today's (Dec. 10) Forum on Climate Change spearheaded by CHR-Caraga held in Butuan City. She has been providing free legal services to urban and rural poor communities on public interest issues. In her discussion, she reiterated the concept of Climate Change and later introduced the Climate Justice, giving emphasis on who is accountable and what mechanisms will address the impacts of Climate Change. Atty. Jerefe Tubigon-Bacang, regional director of CHR-Caraga stressed the vital role of the different stakeholders in addressing the continuing problem on the causes of Climate Change.
