PIA Caraga, Butuan airport partner in boosting Caraga's tourism industry

IN PHOTO | Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga Regional Head Venus Lim-Garcia paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Junelito P. Abrazado, airport manager of the Butuan City airport, on March 16, 2026, to discuss a possible partnership between the two government offices in bolstering the region's tourism through intensified tourism campaigns.

The coordination meeting stemmed from the recommendation made by the Caraga Regional Development Council (RDC) Chairperson, Governor Nilo P. Demerey of Dinagat Islands, during their 1st quarter meeting, to seek the help of PIA Caraga in coordinating with local airports across the region to feature Caraga's destinations in television screens within their respective vicinities.
