Caraga State U strengthens campus inclusivity

IN PHOTO | The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga collaborates with the Caraga State University (CSU) to bring awareness to its advocacy on campus inclusivity. 

Dr. Rissa L. Mercado, CSU's vice president for Student Affairs and Auxiliary Services, shared to PIA Caraga on January 15, 2026 in Butuan City, the efforts of the university on campus inclusivity, especially to the Muslim students and personnel in the campus. 

"CSU is the first and only school among state universities and colleges (SUC) across the Caraga region that offers a dedicated Muslim prayer room," VP Mercado said. “The goal of the Muslim prayer room is to provide Muslim students and staff with a designated space for their prayers and spiritual activities in a peaceful and comfortable setting.” (RLE, PIA Dinagat Islands)
