Governor Pimentel: Promoting Peace and Community Reintegration
IN PHOTOS | Surigao del Sur Governor Johnny Pimentel, newly appointed Caraga Regional Peace and Order Council chairperson, emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to peace and social healing during the ceremonial cash aid distribution to peace advocates, also known as former rebels, on Monday, November 10, 2025, in Tandag City.
“Through our peace programs and partnerships with national agencies, we aim to support our former rebels in rebuilding their lives so they can live peacefully and productively with their families,” the governor said.
He also encouraged everyone to use the government's assistance wisely, noting that the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) is being processed and will soon be available to beneficiaries.
Gov. Pimentel underscored that helping former rebels reintegrate into society is a key step toward building a Bagong Pilipinas that values compassion, unity, and opportunities for all. (NGPB, PIA Surigao del Sur)
