Members of the Surigao del.Norte peace council convened in Surigao City
IN PHOTO | The Surigao del Norte Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) convened recently for a 3rd quarter meeting to discuss and address key peace and order issues affecting the province held at the Provincial Governor's Conference Room, Surigao City.
The council, composed of representatives from various government agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders, reviewed the current security landscape, assessed the effectiveness of ongoing peace initiatives, and planned for future collaborative efforts. Key topics discussed included anti-insurgency campaigns, drug-related crimes, disaster preparedness, response and awarding of Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) assistance to former rebels (FRs).
The PPOC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors in the province. The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and a clear roadmap for addressing the province's most pressing peace and order challenges. (SDR, PIA Surigao del Norte)
