IN PHOTOS | The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Caraga spearheaded the exit conference of the Caraga Regional Joint Security Control Center (RJSCC) at the Alingkakajaw Hall, Claver Municipal Building, Barangay Tayaga, Claver, Surigao del Norte on June 20, 2025.

The Philppine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga led by Regional Head Venus L. Garcia, as partner stakeholder of the RJSCC during the May 12, 2025 national and local elections, highlighted its efforts under the Maging Mapanuri campaign of the government through production and disseminaton of accurate, timely and relevant election- related information.

PIA Caraga Assistant Regional Director Renelle L. Escuadro reported that on the day of the midterm elections, a total of 106 sms/textblasts and situational reports were produced and disseminated to all PIA Caraga platforms. Six election news stories were published in the regional and national PIA websites. 

The different information officers with the PIA's technical team conducted interviews with the COMELEC officers, voters, and others in their respective areas, including the production of short news stories for airing to the People's Television Network (PTV), among others.

COMELEC Caraga, through a Plaque of Recognition, expressed gratitude to the agency's communication support and coverage as the Caraganons exercised suffrage peacefully in the region. (RLE, PIA Caraga)

  To equip the enlisted privates of the 4th Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Battalion (4CMOBn), Philippine Army with the right knowledge and skills in basic journalism, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga, facilitated the conduct of training on basic news writing and photo journalism to some 30 participants at the 4CMOBn Conference Room in Brgy. Bancasi, Butuan City.  As the resource speaker on basic news writing, Jennifer Gaitano, Information Officer III of PIA Caraga, discussed the important elements to consider when writing a news story. She also shared tips on how to effectively write a straight news.  #ExplainExplainExplain

IN PHOTO |  Students and teachers from different schools in the province of Surigao del Norte participated the two-day training on Arduino Programming and Product Development spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology -  Provincial Research and Innovation Museum (DOST-PRISM) on October 3-4, 2024. The training fostered a vibrant science, technology, and innovation (STI) ecosystem in Surigao del Norte and capacitated the participants on Arduino programming as a foundation for future STEM learning and innovation.
