IN PHOTOS | The provincial government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS), headed by Governor Santiago Cane Jr., joined the regional and national line agencies on June 12 in marking the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration.

A flag-raising ceremony and wreath-laying were held to honor the heroes, who courageously fought for the nation’s freedom since the historic declaration of the Phikippine independence in 1898. (KKG, PIA Agusan del Sur)

With her are Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante and Deputy Director-General for Regional Operations Adolfo Ares P. Gutierrez of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). PRA award honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to climate action, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience. Suyo’s leadership and innovative work have had a profound impact on Agusan del Norte, transforming the province into a model of disaster preparedness and climate resilience.
