COMELEC and PNP Launch Checkpoints to Kick Off 2025 Election Period in Surigao del Sur

IN PHOTOS |  The Commission on Elections (COMELEC), in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), launched COMELEC checkpoints on January 12, 2025, to mark the start of the election period for the upcoming National and Local Elections. The launch, held at Camp Vicente L. Pimentel Sr. in Tandag City, included a short program and a press conference led by Provincial Election Supervisor Riza Ann Donalyn Constantino.

She emphasized the importance of the checkpoints in promoting peace and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. Constantino also urged the stakeholders to cooperate during election checkpoints for a peaceful, orderly, and credible election this 2025. (NGPB, PIA-Surigao del Sur)
