Kapihan sa PIA Features Human Rights Celebrations

IN PHOTOS | Through the Kapihan sa PIA,  various government agencies and sectors converged on December 4, 2024 in SM City Butuan and highlighted the joint annual celebration of the International Human Rights Day on December 10 and the National Human Rights Consciousness Week every December 4–10.

Hosted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga Regional Assistant Head Renelle L. Escuadro, the programs and initiatives implemented by the government in Caraga region were shared to the online viewers and onsite audience by the esteemed guests namely, Atty. Aurora Luanne Cembrano-Ramos, regional director of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Caraga; Atty. Joseph Jennel M. Malelang of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga; and PCpt. Karl Patrick Cabauatan, legal officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Caraga. (RLE/PIA-Caraga)

With her are Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante and Deputy Director-General for Regional Operations Adolfo Ares P. Gutierrez of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). PRA award honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to climate action, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience. Suyo’s leadership and innovative work have had a profound impact on Agusan del Norte, transforming the province into a model of disaster preparedness and climate resilience.
