Media Orientation

IN PHOTO | Oliver Binancilan, program development officer of Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU), emphasized during the media orientation on Sept. 5, 2024 in Butuan City that the government's transformation program should create a huge impact to the lives of the former rebels or friends rescued, as they return to the mainstream society.

"We have to help our former rebels or friends rescued (FRs) transform their lives in a way that they become resilient, and we are able to help them change and improve the quality of their lives. That is why we need this Transformation Program after receiving all the benefits due to them as they surrendered to the folds of the law," he said.

He further assured that combatants and non-combatants [of the communist terrorist group] are given due attention by the government upon their surrender. (Jennifer P. Gaitano/PIA-Caraga)
