The OGPinas! Nationwide Advocacy Campaign- Butuan leg on August 30, 2024 kicked off the open chair discussion where representatives from the civil society organizations and the academe shared their insights and input on transparency and citizen engagement in their respective sector. 

The open chair discussion was participated by Undersecretary Rolando U. Toledo of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Dr. Francisco Magno of the La Salle Institute of Governance, alongside Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga Assistant Regional Head Renelle Luzon Escuadro, as moderator.  (Renelle Luzon Escuadro/PIA-Caraga)

IN PHOTO |  Erma Ranuco Suyo (standing), provincial government department head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Agusan del Norte was named as one of the 2024 Women and Youth Champions of Resilience at the prestigious Philippine Resilience Awards (PRA). With her are Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante and Deputy Director-General for Regional Operations Adolfo Ares P. Gutierrez of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). PRA award honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to climate action, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience. Suyo’s leadership and innovative work have had a profound impact on Agusan del Norte, transforming the province into a model of disaster preparedness and climate resilience.
