With the completion of the COVID-19 ward and equiping fully the molecular laboratory of the Butuan Medical Center (BMC), Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada thanked the DOH and DOST Caraga and other partner stakeholders for the support in the realization of the project during today's inauguration of the laboratory.

"We are aware of the increasing number of confirmed cases in our region, but this is just the start. We need the strict observance of the health protocols to prevent the spread of the virus. We expect an increase of the confirmed cases in the coming days so we should be more vigilant and practice the imposed guidelines," said Lagnada.

Butuan City Mayor Ronnie Lagnada, together with DOH Caraga Regional Director Jose Llacuna, Jr., DOST Regional Director Dominga Mallonga, OIC-Medical Director Dr. Caridad Burdeos-Plete of the Butuan Medical Center, and other local officials, attended today's Inauguration of Butuan Medical Center's Molecular Laboratory and COVID Facilities. The media partners are also present to witness the event.
