Gary Olivar cited during his radio guesting today, Nov. 20 at Radyo Pilipinas in Butuan City, that a new plebiscite towards constitutional reform should be created before President Rodrigo Duterte finishes his term. "As we are gearing towards constitutional reform, we are also intensifying our advocacy that we Filipino people should change how we perceive things. We should be able to change our system, and master self-discipline so we could have a better government in this country," he said.


Director-General Josephine Santiago of Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) said their office has decided to expand in the Caraga region following its observation of an impressive rise in the number of IP filings in its cities and its countryside. "IPOPHL data show that Caraga's total filings soared nearly five-fold to 172 in 2018 from 37 in 2017. Applications for utility model registration jumped 1,367% to 88 in 2018 from 6 in the previous year; trademarks grew 173% to 71 from 26, and patents increased 160% to 13 from 5," she cited.
