Commission on Election Agusan del Norte holds a Provincial

Senior Education Program Specialist Antonina Prisco of
Department of Education Agusan del Norte enumerates several problems they have
encountered during the conduct of the May 9 election such as paper jams,
replacement of malfunctioned Vote Counting Machines arrived late, weak internet
connection hampered the transmission of votes to designated servers, and some
teachers were harassed at Buenavista District 1 in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte
during the Provincial Joint Security Control Center Exit Command Conference and
Thanksgiving at the Provincial Training Center in Butuan City on May 20, 2016.
However, despite these glitches, Prisco said the voting results were not

May 20 that based on their assessment, the conduct of the 2016 national and
local elections in their area of responsibility is generally peaceful. Diagmel

said that they have successfully provided appropriate security measures during
the delivery and retrieval of official ballots and Vote Counting Machines from
